EYFS policy & inspection documentation

Your policies, written to the new framework.

One relaxed conversation with you about how your setting actually runs. I turn it into your full policy set — written in your setting's own terms, not a template with your name at the top.

FORMER NURSERY PRACTITIONER · DBS-CHECKED · ICO-REGISTERED · INSURED

£199

One fixed fee. The conversation, the full policy set in Word, and a private note on any gaps. Nothing else to pay.

Section 3 · Safeguarding and welfare

The paragraphs most settings haven't caught up with.

Not the headline changes everyone wrote about. The quiet ones that alter what your policy has to say.

3.11 — 3.12

Child absences

Following up absences in a timely manner, and a written attendance policy shared with parents. New, and widely missed.

3.64 — 3.71

Safer eating

Allergy action plans, weaning discussions, choking prevention, and recording choking incidents. A whole new subsection.

3.86

Safer sleep

Specific requirements now written into the framework rather than pointed at in external guidance.

3.15 — 3.17

Suitable people

Enhanced checks for everyone aged 16 and over including volunteers, and what staff must disclose.

3.82

Banned dog breeds

Not permitted on the premises at any time — including where the owner holds a certificate of exemption.

3.94

Children's screen use

A duty to have regard to the screen use guidance. Most policy sets have nothing on this at all.

There's a further layer under all of it: inspectors have to see the statutory requirements met before a setting can reach the expected standard. Policy wording now sits underneath the grade rather than beside it.

How it works

Three steps, and only one of them is yours.

STEP ONE

We talk

About an hour, by video call — or I come out to you at the nursery, whichever suits. No paperwork to prepare. You just describe how your setting actually runs.

STEP TWO

I write

Your full policy set, written to the current statutory framework and worded around your setting rather than a generic template. Delivered in Word so you can edit anything.

STEP THREE

You check

A separate private note flags anything that looked like a gap, so you can act on it. If a line doesn't sound like your setting, I change it at no charge.

About

I've been on the other side of this paperwork.

I worked in nurseries from 2006 to 2022. I know what a policy folder is for, what an inspector actually asks to see, and how little time a manager has to sit down and rewrite twenty-eight documents.

That's the whole reason this service exists. Not to tell you how to run your setting — you already know that. Just to take the writing off your plate and give it back to you finished.
